RHA Recruitment Solutions is keen to speak to Control Engineers with experience gained in delivering control and automation projects to clients within the water, industrial automation and/or process sectors.
With opportunities in Warrington/Grangemouth/Stafford/Derby/Penketh & Southampton, you will join teams of control and automation engineers and have the experience and ability to work through the entire lifecycle of the project, from design documentation, developing control software, testing, commissioning and handover.
Working on your own complex projects (or leading teams of up to 5 engineers), you will work to meet the agreed programme of works. During the projects early stages, we can offer hybrid working on the development of Functional Design Spec and PLC, HMI, SCADA Software until the bench testing is completed. Integrated testing will then take place at the company's manufacturing facility where you will engage with SI and LV delivery teams and client stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities will include:-
Interpreting User Requirement Specification packages and reverse engineering of exiting control system software
Production of functional design specifications, configuration of PLC and SCADA packages, testing and commissioning.
Mentor junior staff members
Lead SI projects
Ensure engineering and design activity meet national standards
Ideally you will have multiple years system engineering experience with a strong understanding of H&S requirements on electrical equipment.
Knowledge of PLC & HMI Software development using devices including Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Mitsubishi of Schneider is required and experience of multiple communication protocols Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, DP & PA, Modbus TCP/IP is preferred. Experience of working with SCADA systems is also beneficial.
