Sales Consultants - Liverpool - Immediate Start Consultant OTE £35,000 - £40,000


As an Insurance Sales Consultant, your primary responsibility is to sell car insurance policies to potential customers.

You will utilise your knowledge of insurance products, excellent communication skills, and persuasive abilities to attract and retain clients.

Your goal is to meet individual and collective sales targets, build strong customer relationships, and provide exceptional service throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Generation:

  • Proactively reach out to prospective customers to promote car insurance products.

  • Engage in cold calling, lead generation, and networking to expand the customer base.

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customers' insurance requirements.

  • Explain policy options, coverage details, and premiums to customers.

  • Present customized insurance proposals tailored to the specific needs of the customer's fleet.

Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and effectively.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance on risk management and insurance solutions for fleet operations.

  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with underwriters and other internal teams to develop comprehensive and competitive fleet insurance solutions.

  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers.

  • Keep accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and policy details using CRM software or other tools.

  • Stay updated on industry regulations, emerging trends, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.


Sales Reporting and Targets:

  • Set and strive to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Prepare regular sales reports, including sales activities, pipelines, and conversions, to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to identify opportunities for product enhancements or new offerings.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sales, preferably in the insurance industry, with a focus on fleet insurance or commercial insurance.

  • Strong knowledge of fleet insurance products, coverage options, and risk management principles.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and build relationships.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to close deals effectively.

  • Familiarity with CRM software or other sales tools for managing customer relationships and tracking sales activities.

  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve results in a competitive sales environment.

  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and industry dynamics.
