HSE Manager - Warehousing/Logistics - Cheshire East Immediate Start - To £50,000 + package




RHA Recruitment Solutions is keen to speak to experienced and dedicated HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Managers to join an established business based in Cheshire East.

As the HSE Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of their employees, while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and industry best practices. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in HSE management within the warehousing industry to make a significant impact on an established organisation.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:-

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective HSE policies, procedures, and programs specifically tailored to the warehousing environment.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and take appropriate action to mitigate them.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, as well as company standards and guidelines.

  • Provide guidance and support to warehouse staff and management in HSE matters, including training programs, safety meetings, and incident investigations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver HSE training programs to raise awareness and promote a strong safety culture.

  • Monitor and analyse HSE performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.

  • Conduct thorough investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences whilst educating and training managers in accident and near miss investigations.

  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes related to HSE, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Liaise with external regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and foster positive relationships.

Qualifications:


  • NEBOSH Certified

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred whilst relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) are highly desirable.

  • Proven experience as an HSE Manager in the warehousing or logistics industry, with a deep understanding of warehouse operations and associated hazards.

  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Proficient in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.

  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop effective strategies for continuous improvement.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive mindset with a passion for promoting a strong safety culture.
