Are you a practical, hardworking Pipe Fitter, ideally with experience gained within industrial services, or the desire to develop skills in this area.
Working with a highly specialised team who offer a range of services to the refinery, petrochemical and chemical sectors, you will regularly work away, to deliver projects including the installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems, whilst ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards and signed off with the relevant paperwork
More specifically, key responsibilities include:
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan the layout of pipe systems
Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to required specifications using various tools like saws, threading machines, and benders
Assembling and installing pipes, valves, fittings, and related equipment using welding, soldering, brazing, or cementing techniques
Securing pipes to structures using brackets, clamps, hangers, and welding equipment
Inspecting and testing installed pipe systems for leaks and proper functionality
Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on existing piping systems
Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Coordinating with other tradespeople like welders, plumbers, and electricians on construction projects
