As a Trainee Sales Consultant in Fleet Insurance Sales, your primary responsibility will be to assist the sales team in generating new business and maintaining existing client relationships within the fleet insurance industry.


You will receive comprehensive training to develop your knowledge of fleet insurance products and sales techniques, enabling you to contribute to the overall growth and success of the sales department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand the features, benefits, and coverage options of fleet insurance products and services.

  • Assist in identifying and prospecting potential clients in the fleet industry through various channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, and referrals.

  • Conduct thorough needs analysis for clients to assess their insurance requirements and tailor suitable solutions.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.

  • Assist in negotiating and closing sales deals, ensuring the terms and conditions meet the needs of both the client and the company.

  • Maintain and update accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and relevant information in the CRM system.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely and accurate responses.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to effectively position and differentiate the company's fleet insurance offerings.

  • Collaborate with underwriters and other internal stakeholders to obtain competitive quotes and ensure efficient policy issuance.

  • Support the sales team in achieving individual and team sales targets, contributing to the overall revenue and profitability goals of the organization.

  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and industry expertise.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field is preferred.

  • Proven customer service or sales experience is an asset.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and effectively convey complex information.

  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities to close sales deals.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and other sales-related software.

  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented mindset.

  • Knowledge of the fleet industry and insurance concepts is advantageous.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing market trends and sales strategies.
